Save Some Time With These Cleaning Hacks

There are a special few people in this world that like to clean for fun. For the most of us, however, cleaning is a real drag. But unless you like living in a dirty, grimy place, you know you have to clean your living space regularly. Here are some awesome cleaning hacks to make the scrubbing a little less tiring:

Cleaning hacks:

Unless you want to attract all kinds of germs and creepy crawlies, try these cleaning hacks to save yourself enough time to catch up on your favourite series:

  • Stains and residue on a wooden cutting board can get quite gross over time, and using cleaning liquids might leave a soapy taste on the board. To avoid this, cut a lemon in half, pour some coarse salt on the cutting board and rub it with the moist side of the halved lemon. Squeaky clean without the hassle!
  • One of the most frustrating things to clean is the baking tray or oven dish. The burned residue seems like it will be stuck there forever! No need to worry. Just roll a piece of foil into a ball, pour some liquid dishwashing detergent on the one side, and start scrubbing!
  • Love coffee but hate cleaning the coffee grinder? If you’re struggling to get rid of coffee grounds and any leftover odours, run a handful of dry rice through your coffee grinder. Toss the rice when used and wipe the grinder clean.
  • Giving your guests tarnished silverware to use can be embarrassing. Don't waste your time rubbing them with Silvo - there is a much easier way. Mix equal parts baking soda, liquid dishwashing detergent, and salt - at least 30ml of each for a small pot. Line the pot with aluminium foil and place your silverware inside. Add the detergent mixture to the pot. Add some boiling water and leave it for 5 minutes. Rinse the silverware thoroughly with cold water and voila!

Keeping your house clean is important, not only for your physical health, but also for your mental health!
